Hi Serenity Family,
I hope you are well and staying safe during these trying times. As the pandemic continues on many people are switching careers or looking to expand their Reiki business. Today, I thought I would share two small, but important tips, I have learned over the course of my Reiki business journey. I have found personally putting in the time for self-care, and staying focused on small goals to be key. As you commit yourself to becoming a healer, it is easy to move your self-care to the bottom of the list. You are here to help people, so it makes sense that you will do all that you can to help others. This mindset is great, but only as long as you can function. You don’t want to show up feeling exhausted, overwhelmed or less than your best. That’s why it is essential that you include healthy self-care habits in your routine to avoid burn out. As cliché as it sounds, self-care isn't selfish. You can’t pour from an empty cup and your practice will suffer when you don’t take time for yourself. Just as self-care is important so is being realistic in setting business goals. By focusing on small goals you can make continuous progress and not become overwhelmed. Often I speak with new Reiki practitioners that feel if they haven’t treated 25-30 people a week they are failures. While this may seem like a responsible amount of clients, it really isn’t, especially if no one knows you are even open for business or how Reiki can help. By setting smaller goals that build a business foundation such as establishing your online presence, notifying people of your services, and offering new customers an incentive, or initial savings you can build your practice and see growth. Small steps can equal constant business growth versus feeling like a failure. Be practical and set realistic monthly goals. There isn’t one “magic” tip or action to insure your Reiki practice will be successful. You will need to be focused, diligent and realistic in your approach. Make time for self-care so you don’t become overwhelmed and set sensible goals. Now more than ever, the world needs you and your unique healing abilities. It's time to take your practice to the next level. Reiki Blessings, Sarah Comments are closed.
