People often ask me which crystal they need. Usually it's not an easy answer. If you are new to the crystal and stone world, let me explain that crystals and stones vibrate at different rates. This vibrations cause subtle changes in you energy body. Ok, that was over simplified, but you get it right? A crystal can give you a boost or push in manifesting, detoxing, luck, healing, memory, etc. The list goes on and on.
Are they magic things that will let you win and the lottery and marry a movie start? Probably not. Should stones replace medical treatment? Of course not. But if you are suffering from say, anxiety - keeping a piece of Blue Lace Agate, Lepidolite, Tourmaline or Amethyst in your pocket to touch during the day can have a very calming affect.
That said, there is a load of conflicting information out there. When in doubt I would suggest trusting yourself. What stones are you drawn to? Is it the color? The shape or size? We each resonate to our own personal vibrational frequency (speaking of energy again here) so what may work for one may not work in the same way for another. Also not all stones "feel" the same, even though they may be the same type, size and shape.
Place your hand over the stone and clear your mind, what do you feel? Or hold the stone in your palm. How does it feel? Do you want put it down or do you like the way it feels? Is it warm or cool? Are you seeing flashes of light or images? Practice with the stones you already own. This may take a bit of time, but you can learn to listen to your own inner guidance and pick the right stones for you.
Remember, there is no "wrong" stone, just some stones and crystal work better for certain situations and people. Practice, like in most things, is the key to understanding which stone will work best for you to achieve the desired results. Now go have fun with the stones!
The practice of forgiveness is our most important contribution to the healing of the world.
