Arrogance, pride and narcissism are impossible feelings to have when you experience gratitude.
If you want to invite more gratitude into your life, we have a free Face Book group focusing on gratitude and kindness. Link is here if you want to join us. Face Book Group Have a wonderful November! Reiki Blessings, Sarah Ever Used a Gratitude Journal?
Did it work? If not, could it be that you were going through the motions and not digging deep enough? Gratitude journaling is more effective if you first make the conscious decision to go all in. That means not just writing an affirmation or listing one pleasant thing that happened each week. Writing once in a while and calling it a day isn't going to bring about any significant changes. To fully commit means writing consistently and elaborating in detail about a particular thing. A gratitude journal is intended to be personal. It means opening up and focusing on people you are grateful for and situations that touched you, your family, or your life. Share your story with the journal and be honest about what you are feeling. Journalling isn't the time to skimp on details or emotions. Write about the items that you are grateful for, of course, but when we go deeper and move past the superficial list, we begin to see significant benefits. Be brave and start again if you've stopped. Keep journaling! Sarah In the Spiritual community, especially if you are an Empath or HSP, you may have been conditioned only to give and give unconditionally. While this seems like the right path in a world obsessed with "getting theirs first," is it? How often do you struggle with the other end of this? How do you feel about receiving?
Do you feel undeserving of gifts? Or do you feel obligated to counter every act of kindness given you? Do you feel that you owe someone if they do something for you and they are keeping count? When we cannot accept or are always stuck overgiving, it is a symptom of being out of balance energetically. While this might not seem that bad, it is. If you are stuck overgiving, you are sending mixed messages to your friends and the Universe. To be in balance, we must learn to give & receive equally with love. It's great you want to give and spread joy! But you also have to allow others the same opportunity to spread happiness by sharing with you. We should all accept lovingly, or else we send out a message to the Universe that we are not ready to receive. So this could be why your manifesting isn't working. To acquire all that you are trying to manifest, you must be open to receive on every level. Don't block your manifestation - take this as a sign this area of your life needs some attention. This week examine your feelings on giving and receiving by journaling. List examples and dig deep into your emotions surrounding giving and receiving. Reiki Blessing, Sarah You stay mindful when you acknowledge all your many blessings. It also magnifies these positive emotions and allows your body to relax and move into a receptive state. Research shows that positive emotions fade faster than feelings of worry or dread, but once we activity work on maintaining an outlook of gratitude we can shift back to positivity.
An easy way to shift is by beginning a gratitude journal. Each day write three things you are grateful for. These can be big or small, such as the sunshine or a cozy bed to sleep in. When you have trouble shifting back to positive reread past entries and watch as even more good things flood into your life. Reiki blessings, Sarah |
